WA5PSA was mentioning QRP operations on the Tulsa Tech Net Friday evening these folks that combine backpacking with amateur radio.

Some of their exploits look like a cross between ham radio and survivorman.
But I enjoy taking a little QRP rig into the great outdoors, putting up a little dipole or vertical,and making contacts on battery power.
Most of the HF Pack discussion occurs on the Yahoo group. If your search Yahoo groups for HFPack you'll find it.
I've been on there and have been reading for over a year.
